Crane at the bird house

Last week it has been snowing heavily in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The cranes which wanted to spend the winter “at home” or those which already returned from the South have now difficulties to find food.

On the island Rügen we had even 50 cm of fresh snow. Being hungry a crane went to a bird house and fed there. The kind owners of the bird house informed the NABU Crane Centre and are now feeding the special guest with corn and wheat.
