KRANORAMA opens – cranes in spring mood
On Friday, 6 March 2026, we will reopen the doors of our KRANORAMA observation station at the Lake near 18445 Günz at 9 a.m. Here, the first cranes are already showing signs of spring fever, dancing and mating. Kranorama is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in spring!
Since 1 March, the NABU KRANICHWELTEN experience centre (Straße des Friedens 21c, 18445 Günz) has also been open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for its guests. Our modern and interactive exhibition invites young and old alike to discover the world of cranes in an exciting and varied way. Immerse yourself in multimedia experience areas and enjoy exciting virtual journeys through crane landscapes, moors and the world of insects. You can also experience a ‘sound shower’ with the crane duet calls of all 15 species worldwide or learn more about our exciting projects in Europe, Africa and Asia.
In the spacious 20,000 m² outdoor area, you can experience different habitats up close, including a lifelike lowland moor with typical vegetation and wildlife.
After a tour of our world of discovery, our cosy bistro invites you to linger and enjoy yourself – with a view of nature. Delicious variety for explorers – sweet & savoury. Numerous delicacies, from tarte flambée and pizza to various cakes, await you with the most beautiful view!
Welcome!
How long KRANORAMA remains open depends on the current resting situation. Opening hours and current information can be found at Crane Protection Germany and in KRANICHWELTEN.
