The NABU-Crane Center and KRANORAMA are open again!
Spring sunshine and loud calls from cranes lured the NABU-Crane Center and KRANORAMA out of hibernation.
Our exhibition already opened at the 1st of March and numerous visitors enjoyed the award-winning film “Kraniche – Juwelen der Küste”. This documentation movie was the winner of the “Model N Movie International Short Film Festival 2020” in the category “Best Wildlife Short Movie”.
The KRANORAMA will open at the 7th of March and will be daily open from 9:30 to 16:30. Besides thousands of Barnacle Goose and Great White-fronted Goose over 100 cranes are already back at the lake Günzer See. And more are coming every day, attracted by the offered corn in the field. Thus, they can compensate the exhausting journey from the wintering areas and prepare themselves for the dance of the cranes. Pairs of cranes strengthen their bond with duet calls, high jumps and wing flapping. This magical moment is especially visible on sunny days.
Come and visit the KRANORAMA and the NABU-Crane Center (opened daily from 9:00 to 16:00) to enjoy the magic of cranes.
We are looking forward to your visit!
