We are already feeding

On Monday, we started diversionary feeding at our observation station KRANORAMA (4 kilometres away from the NABU crane centre in Groß Mohrdorf). At first, corn cobs were scattered and on the following days two or three bags of corn were distributed. The success was immediate and the number of cranes rose from 30 to 150 in the last three days and even 250 lucky birds today. The farmer therefore spread a further 3 tonnes of feed wheat with the plate fertiliser spreader on our behalf this evening.
